To learn a sonnet I has to read from the best and as
English sonnets are known as the Shakespear’s sonnets - I took his most famous
“Sonnet” 18 - I set to check the syllabel’s to make sure I was on the right
road and low and behold 3 different syllable counters came up with a 3
different results . . .
Where on earth do I go from there . . . ?

So pen to paper yet again . . .

OUR WILLY V’S THE SONNET
A) I wasn’t winning any wars here . . .
B) I am feeling like I’ve been had . . .
B) Shakespeare seems to be a gad . . .
A) Are you sure he is a poetic seer . . .
C) His syllable’s just ain’t adding up . . .
D) Is our Willy an exception to the rule . . .
?
D) Or is someone doing a brain cruel . .
.
C) Can I even win this sonic sonnet cup . . . ?
D) I’ve checked with every syllable counter .
. .
E) And “Behold” none did add up the same . . .
E) I’m starting to wonder - who’s to blame . .
. ?
D) This sonnet I’ll never be able to mounter .
. .
F) So the moral of this lament can only be . .
.
F) Is never once believe the syllables of he .
. .
I know my syllabels are still not
in the right counts . . .
That’s because I still have not
check them amounts . . .
I do believe I’m getting
somewhere I see it getting form . . .
But those bloody syllabels just
what is the flippin’ norm . . . ?
